Ok-sounds weird, I know! It was probably something to do with all the sunshine and yesterday being the longest day. I stopped off on the way home and bought extra lemons and some sugar. Oh, and a bucket!!!
Then, in the still lovely sunny evening, a little expedition set forth. Country Dog, CDGirl and CDBoy. We picked Elderflowers till we were dusted with pollen like so many bees. The time was right-I've been watching the flowersopen over the last week or so and they seemed at their creamy beautiful best.
Back home it was down to sterilising the bucket and adapting my own version of the various recipes out there for Elderflower Champagne.
I'll post my version of the recipe separately so watch this space and listen out for progress reports!!!
